Schizophrenic Dutchess County Man is Missing

State Police have requested the public’s help in locating a 68-year-old schizophrenic Hudson Valley man who has gone missing.

State Police from Poughkeepsie are searching from for 68-year-old Edward E. Lopez, who was reported missing from the Lakeview Chateau Community Residence located on W. Hunns Lake Road in the Town of Stanford.

Lopez was last seen at the Lakeview Chateau before 5pm on March 14, 2016 and it is believed that he left the residence on foot. He is described as a black Hispanic male, 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 140 pounds. Lopez has a large gray beard and afro. He was seen wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans.

Police say Lopez suffers from schizophrenia and may be in need of immediate medical attention.
