Happy Holidays! Almost. Next week, after you've devoured the turkey and stuffing, after you've done your early morning Black Friday shopping (if that's what you do), why not treat yourself and the kids to a nice brisk walk on the Walkway Over the Hudson? And it's going to be extra special for the kids. Why? Because santa will be there!

Santa Claus is coming to the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park on Friday, November 23 from noon - 3 pm. Visitors are welcome to have their picture taken with Santa at the Walkway’s West Side entrance, at the Ulster Welcome Center. Walkway’s volunteer Ambassadors will be serving hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes, all free of charge while supplies last. It sounds like a great way to officially kick off the holiday season.

The Walkway has both east and west entrances, the east entrance is on Parker Avenue in Poughkeepsie. For more information about the Walkway Over the Hudson, Santa's appearance, and other Walkway events, visit their facebook page.
