Romilda “Ronnie” Marie Fonti, a Fishkill Resident, Dies at 93

FISHKILL - Romilda “Ronnie” Marie Fonti, 93, an area resident since 1956 and formerly of the Bronx, died on September 11, 2017 at the New York State Veterans Home.

Born in the Bronx on May 25, 1924, she was the daughter of Michele and Latizia (Petrillo) Gabriele. Ronnie was employed as an office manager and dental assistant for Dr. Michael Schwartz in Fishkill. She had been a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church.

Ronnie was predeceased by her husband, Basil Fonti; and her daughter, Rosanne Flynn. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Paquette and her husband Glenn of Fairfield, CA; her son-in-law, Timothy Flynn of FL; her grandchildren, Thomas Briggs and his wife Doriann of Poughquag, Justin Paquette and his wife Melissa of CA, Maggie Paquette of CA and Daniel Flynn and his wife Carleen of Fishkill; her great-grandchildren, Madyson, Lucas, Aiden, Daniel and John; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Please visit Ronnie’s Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
