If you want to be one of the first people in the Hudson Valley to see "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," you'll want to act fast.

Tickets for last year's December release of "The Force Awakens" went on sale in October. First showings of the film quickly sold out, forcing theaters to open up more screens which also sold out in the days leading up to the movie's premiere.

Industry insiders are carefully watching ticket sales for this year's release of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Tickets went on sale much later, but demand is still high, with some local theaters already sold out.

The AMC Crystal Run 16 in Middletown is completely sold out of tickets for the standard version's 7pm showing on Thursday night. There is a 10:45pm showing, but reserved tickets are almost gone, with only a few front row seats available on their website. The same goes for the 3D version of the film also premiering at 7pm.

In Poughkeepsie, Fandango shows availability for the 7:30pm showing on Thursday night at the Regal Cinemas in the Poughkeepsie Galleria, but those tickets are expected to sell out soon. The same goes for showings at the Regal Fishkill 10.

If you're hoping to catch the premiere showing in full IMAX glory, you'll want to act fast, just some front row reserved seats are still available at the AMC theater at the Palisades mall.
