Resorts World Catskills have unveiled plans to open the integrated campus destination’s second hospitality complex.

The Alder, a new lifestyle hotel, will offer guests an exciting new way to stay and play in the heart of the picturesque Catskill Mountains. The Alder is now taking reservations, and plans on opening in December.

This new lifestyle hotel will offer a host of exciting amenities and offerings to their guests including retail, entertainment, and food and beverage options throughout its first floor. The Alder’s name evokes the majestic alder tree, a part of the birch family native to the rich ecosystem of the Catskills, known for providing shelter and protection to neighboring wildlife while enriching the natural environment.

The hotel features 101 guest rooms that feature modern amenities that travelers expect from a destination resort.

Ryan Eller, President & CEO of Resorts World Catskills said:

Like its name, which was said to know the past, present, and future, The Alder at Resorts World Catskills will symbolize the commitment to returning the region to its roots as an iconic American destination while also helping to grow its future and expand the range of experiences we are able to offer our guests

In addition to the hotel, The Alder will feature a dining and entertainment venue for resort guests, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Danae Tinsely, NCIDQ, Project Manager, at JCJ Architecture said:

Similar to our approach to the design of Resorts World Catskills, our objective for The Alder was to reflect the natural beauty of the Catskills. Interior and exterior elements of the The Alder incorporate textures and colors from the landscape of the Catskills and create a dynamic balance between rustic charm and modern comfort
