The real-life inspiration for Jack Black's character in "School of Rock" is opening up a brand new academy in Orange County.

The Paul Green Rock Academy has announced that they are expanding throughout the Hudson Valley, opening up their second location in Orange County. The school teaches music to their students by getting them excited about performing on real stages for real rock audiences.

Very much like the "School of Rock" movie and hit Broadway show, the kids that attend Green's academy find inspiration and self confidence through learning how to rock out.

After successfully operating for the past four years in Woodstock, and teaching nearly 140 students the finer points of rock and roll, the school is now branching out to their newest location on South Street in Washingtonville.

To introduce the academy to Orange County, current students will be performing at a fundraising concert to be held at Middletown High School on Saturday, February 4. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Orange County YMCA Strong Kids program.

You can find out more details about the show and the Paul Green Rock Academy on the school's official website.
