And Ulster County Sheriff’s K-9 helped local police arrest a man who police say was in possession of a significant amount of crack cocaine and heroin.
On February 13th, New York State Parole Officers requested help from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office to execute a parole violation arrest warrant at a motel on 9W in the Town of Lloyd. Parole officers and Deputies located 31-year-old Marcus Lovett, of Highland, and took him into custody.
According to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of Ulster County Sheriff's K-9 "Dozer," a further investigation revealed that Lovett was in possession of a significant amount of heroin and crack cocaine.
Lovett was charged with four counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony and a New York State Parole violation arrest warrant.
Lovett was arrested and taken to the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center. He is being held at the Ulster County Jail without bail.
