A Saugerties man is accused of breaking two decorative boats. On Friday around 1:40 p.m., Saugerties police responded to a complaint of multiple men in a verbal dispute with a woman on Main Street in the Village of Saugerties.

Upon arrival, investigating officers took Daniel V. Keogan, 38, of Saugerties into custody after multiple witnesses reported Keogan punching and breaking two of the decorative boats in front of 89 and 99 Partition Street in the Village, police say.

Keogan was charged on two counts of criminal mischief. He was arraigned in the Village of Saugerties Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of cash bail.
