Police: Mother Daughter Fight Turns Into Foot Pursuit

A dispute between a mother and daughter turned into a foot pursuit for police in Ulster County. 

On Wednesday, Saugerties Police responded to a physical domestic dispute between a mother and daughter on Route 212 in Saugerties.

When officers attempted to take 24-year old Christian M. Gallagher in custody, for Attempted Assault, she ran away from the officers.

A female officer chased Gallagher down into the parking lot of the Speedway on Route 212, where she was able to take Gallagher into custody.

Gallagher was charged with Attempted Assault third-degree, and Resisting Arrest. She was processed, then arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court.

Gallagher was remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
