A local man with a suspended license is facing felony charges after he was allegedly caught driving drunk with a young teen in his car.

On Thursday around 1:40 a.m., Monticello stopped a car on East Broadway. During the traffic stop, police allege that the driver, 24-year-old Nidrew L. Reynolds of Monticello was intoxicated.

A chemical test administered to Reynolds at the Monticello police station showed that his blood alcohol level was .12%. A boy younger than 16 was also in Reynold’s car, police say.

Reynolds is also accused for operating the vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended. According to Monticello police, his driving privileges have been suspended five times on three separate dates.

Reynolds was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony under Leandra’s Law, and misdemeanors for driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Reynolds was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $2,500 bail pending further court action.
