A Sullivan County man is facing multiple felony charges following a dispute with a neighbor.

Seth Hodge, 31, of Monticello, NY was arrested Friday night and charged with the felonies of Assault in the second-degree, and Criminal Trespass in the first-degree, amd a misdemeanor charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth-degree.

Monticello Police received a complaint from a 50 year old Monticello man that stated that Hodge had struck him several times with a stick, and attempted to cut him with a knife in his apartment.

Hodge and the victim reside in the same building.

At 6 am Friday moring, the victim was sitting on the front porch when Hodge, who the victim did not know at all, began striking him about the head and body. The victim then retreated back to his apartment to get away from Hodge.

Hodge then allegedly followed the victim into the apartment and attempted to stab him with a knife. The victim required medical attention for lacerations to the head and chest.

Hodge was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Justice Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 secured bond pending further court action.
