Following a heated Mother’s Day verbal exchange, as one individual tried to leave the scene in a car, a Hudson Valley man shot and hit the moving vehicle, officials say.

According to State Police, on Mother’s day, 30-year-old Arthur C. Roe Jr, of Kerhonkson and another person where involved in a verbal argument outside of Roe’s home.

Police say when the other individual got into his vehicle to leave, Roe retrieved a CO2 powered BB handgun from his residence and fired at the car as it was pulling away. The car was hit and two rear windows were shattered.

Roe was charged with 2nd-degree reckless endangerment and 4th-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors.

Roe was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wawarsing Court on May 13.
