A Hudson Valley man is accused of installing a camera inside a public bathroom.

On Saturday around 7:30 p.m., the Ulster Police Department arrested 51-year-old J. Angel Florentino of a Pleasant Valley for second-degree unlawful surveillance, a felony.

An investigation revealed that Florentino, without knowledge or consent from the person, installed an imaging device, an iPhone, inside a bathroom stall in a local department/discount store in the Town of Ulster, police say.

Florentino allegedly installed the device when the person was inside the stall. The device was noticed immediately, officials say.

Florentino was released after posting $100 police bail. He is due to appear in the Town of Ulster Justice Court at a later date.
