Police say a Hudson Valley man violated an order of protection and threatened a woman he has a child with.

Wednesday, New York State Police at Wurtsboro arrested Michael Snowden, 25, of Monticello for criminal contempt, a class E felony, and aggravated harassment, a class A misdemeanor.

Police say a week ago Snowden violated an Order of Protection when he made a phone call to a victim that he has a child in common. Snowden then allegedly threatened the same person over the telephone.

Authorities say Snowden's conduct violated an Order of Protection that was in effect from the Town of Mamakating Court.

Snowden was arraigned before the Village of Monticello Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $500 cash bail.
