An alleged heroin dealer was taken off the streets in Columbia County following an investigation.

An investigation that began earlier this year determined that Gerell Young, 22, of Livingston, was selling heroin in Columbia County.

With the assistance of the Columbia County District Attorney's Office, a warrant was issued for Young's arrest.

The warrant was executed on June, 7, 2018, and Young was arrested without incident.

Young was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance second-degree, A-II felonies.

Young was arraigned before the Columbia County Supreme Court and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or bond.
