Three Hudson Valley residents were arrested after police allegedly found a large amount of heroin in their car.  Last Tuesday around 9:45 p.m., Monticello police stopped a 2011 Toyota Corolla on Jefferson Street in the Village of Monticello.

A driver license check showed the driver, 29-year-old Josef Greeno of Monticello, had a suspended license with 11 active suspensions, police say.

Upon further investigation by Monticello officers, it was found that Greeno and 27-year-old Jessica Myers of Swan Lak, a passenger in the vehicle, were in possession of 240 glassine envelopes of heroin, officials say.

Another passenger, 37-year-old Elizabeth Lloyd of Monticello is accused of possessing a small quantity of crack cocaine and three glassine envelopes of heroin.

Greeno and Myers were both charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance. Greeno was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, misdemeanors.

Lloyd was arrested for two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.

All three were remanded to the Sullivan County Jail. Greeno was remanded without bail, Myers was remanded on $25,000 bail and Lloyd was remanded on $1,000 bail.
