Looking for some place different to check out? There are two places in Kingston that you might want to include in your travels. Plus, one bonus place to check out in Gardiner.

The first place is on the Rondout in Kingston, 85 Broadway, it is called Ol Beer and Bites. The hours change depending on the season and staff. The best place that I have found info on their hours has been Instagram, but Facebook is somewhere to check also. When in doubt if they are open you can always call too. What will you find when you get there? A small, cozy atmosphere with local hard ciders and craft beers along with small plates featuring a 'Nordic theme'. Ol is also in partnership with Hetta Glogg, which is a treat on a cold day. Stop in and then come back for one of their vinyl nights.

The second place in Kingston to put on your radar is called Rough Draft Bar & Books, located in the Stockade district at 82 John St. This is where the book store, cafe and casual pub all come together. Their list of offerings covers the local craft beers (the link shows their current beer list) and ciders along with specialty coffees, pies and pastries.

Your bonus place to put on your "Fall/Winter Hudson Valley Check It Out List" is Gardiner Liquid Mercantile. Located on Main St in Gardiner. Craft cocktails, featuring local ingredients and distilleries, along with a curated list of craft beers and ciders. Hopefully the evening you visit they will be showing a classic movie on their version of a big screen, the wall. Food is more plentiful than the above places, with their menu changing by season.

Is there a place that we should put on our "Fall/Winter Hudson Valley Check It Out List?" Let us know in the comment section below. Thanks.
