Another popular Hudson Valley business is closing their doors.

However, this isn't because of lack of sales. It's more of a personal reason.

Paintbrushes and Party, in the Apple Valley Plaza in Poughkeepsie, has been a Hudson Valley staple for women (and men) for the past four years. They offered paint and sip classes that included a glass of wine and a blank canvas for a wonderful learning experience.

If you've ever been, you know that the most difficult part of the class is not accidentally dipping your brush in your wine instead of your water.

Not only were adults able to flex their painting skills, but the studio was open for children as well. Pictures of trees, animals and landscapes have all been taught throughout Paintbrushes and Party four year history.

This week they announced that they will be closing at the end of April. According to a Facebook post the owners " have decided to retire, travel more, and see where life takes us. While the decision was difficult, we feel that this is the right time for us to make the journey."

If you have gift certificates and have scheduled a class in the next few months give Paintbrushes and Party a call to settle everything before their last day on April 21st.
