Orange County Woman Stole Over $3,000 From Job, Police Say

An Orange County woman is in jail without bail for allegedly stealing over $3,000 from her employer.

New York State Police in Montgomery charged 42-year-old Dawn A. Rosa of the Town of Wallkill with third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony, and first-degree falsifying business records, a class E felony.

A police investigation determined that Rosa stole $3,000 in cash from her employer and destroyed business documents in an attempt to cover up the theft, police say.

Rose committed the alleged crime while working as an assistant book keeper for a business in the Town of Hamptonburgh.

Rosa was arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and remanded to Orange County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
