An Orange County woman accused of stealing over $13,000 in unemployment benefits in 2011 was recently arrested for not showing up to court.

Venus L. Worthy, 42, of New Windsor was arrested in 2011 for third-degree grand larceny and first degree falsifying business records, both felonies. Worthy was accused of falsifying receiving over $13,000 in unemployment benefits, police say.

A bench warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to appear for court proceedings in 2012.

On Wednesday, nearly four years after a bench warrant was issued, Worthy was found and arrested in the Town of Fishkill. She was charged with second-degree bail jumping, a class E felony.

Worthy was arraigned at the Town of Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. She’s due back in court on Dec. 28.
