A no-knock search warrant led to an Orange County couple’s arrest for being in possession of 52 bags of heroin and more. One person is already on parole for a drug possession conviction.

Last Wednesday, members of the Port Jervis City Police Department, assisted by members of the New York State Police, executed a Port Jervis City Court no knock search warrant an apartment on Culvert Street in Port Jervis as part of an on-going investigation into drug sales in the area.

During the search of the apartment, detectives allegedly found 52 bags of heroin, and an undisclosed amount of money. 29-year-old Lance Conklin and 28-year-old Jennifer Menzynski, both from the Port Jervis apartment, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.

Conklin and Menzynski were the targeted suspects in the search warrant, police say. Both are accused of intending to sell heroin.

Conklin is currently under parole supervision with the New York State Division of Parole until December 2019, for a Feb. 2016 conviction drug possession conviction.

Conklin and Menzynski were arraigned in Port Jervis City Court. Conklin was remanded on $50,000 cash bail and Menzynski was remanded on $10,000 cash bail to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office pending action of the Orange County Grand Jury.
