Reports of a man passed out in his car at a gas station led to an Orange County man’s arrest for heroin possession.

On Thursday around 10 p.m., police in Rockland County were told to be on the lookout for a man who may be in medical distress. Later, authorities were told that a man was unconscious in a car at a gas station at the intersection of 9W and West Main Street in Stony Point.

Police and medical responders found 30-year-old Kyle Duddy of Goshen in his car at the gas station parking lot. He refused medical treatment, police say.

As police investigated, Duddy is accused of being in possession of 17 decks of heroin and a small amount of cocaine. He was charged with two-counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Duddy was released with an appearance ticket to return to court July 18.
