An Orange County man was arrested after he was allegedly caught stealing baby formula from ShopRite.

Sunday, Monroe Police charged 35-year-old Darryl Obrien, of Highland Mills with 3rd-degree robbery, petit larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.

Responding officers found Obrien arguing with loss prevention officers from ShopRite in the front of the supermarket. The loss prevention officers alleged that Obrien was spotted stealing over $200 in baby formula.

Obrien is also accused of fighting with loss prevention officers and attempted to flee the scene until the Monroe police arrived.

Obrien was arraigned in the Village of Monroe Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail on no bail.
