This is the first time I've heard of this organization before and it might just be one of my favorites.

According the New York State Police Facebook page, Troopers from K, F and T headquarters participated in Wreaths Across America.

Like I said before, I haven't heard of this organization before. So, I did some research. Wreaths Across America collects wreaths from all over the United States and every December on National Wreaths Across America Day--which falls on Dec. 17 this year--their mission which is to, "Remember, Honor and Teach" is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery. Additionally 1,100 locations participate throughout the United States, at sea and abroad.

The New York State Police Troops and New York State Park Police escorted a convoy of wreaths from Connecticut to West Point as they made their way down to Arlington National Cemetery. Volunteers will join together this Saturday at the National Cemetery to lay the wreaths of those lives lost.
