The Tim Burton classic Nightmare Before Christmas is returning to theaters just in time for Halloween. Here's where you can watch it on the big screen in the Hudson Valley.

Originally released in 1993, the movie tells the dark musical tale of Pumpkin King Jack Skellington from Halloween Town who enters a portal and discovers Christmas Town. Jack becomes obsessed with Christmas and to make a short story shorter, he eventually almost ruins it for everyone

The movie is based on a poem by Burton written in the early 80's. He eventually made a deal with Disney to bring the project to life and the rest is history. Danny Elfman wrote the score and is Jack's singing voice while actor Chris Sarandon plays his speaking voice. Actress Catherine O'Hara plays Sally, Jack's love interest.

Starting Friday and running through Halloween, you can catch a showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas at Regal Cinemas in the Poughkeepsie Galleria at 2pm and 7pm daily. You can also view the IMax version of the movie at Regal Cinemas in New Rochelle.

We love that Blink 182 gives a shout out to Jack and Sally in the first minute of their 2003 track 'I Miss You'.
