Nico Antonio Nannini of Wallkill, a medical transportation driver for Taconic Innovations in Walden, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. He was 22.

Nico was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh on May 20, 1994 to his parents, Jeffrey Nannini and Yvette Garcia-Powell, who survive him. A lifelong area resident he was a 2012 graduate of Wallkill Senior High School, where he also was a member of the school varsity football team.

Nico was a very outgoing person who enjoyed spending time with his son Elijah and other family members, hanging out with his friends, working on his car and playing video games. He had a love for Anime and wanted to travel to Japan. Nico was a good friend and listener for anyone that needed a shoulder to lean on.

Survivors in addition to his parents, Jeffrey Nannini and Yvette Garcia-Powell and step father Macheo Powell, include his son Elijah Alonzo Nannini and his mother Ivana Bowen of Walden; one brother Dylan Nannini of Town Newburgh; four sisters, Lisandra Nannini, Maya Powell, Miyana Powell and Melina Powell all of Walden.

Nico is also survived by aunts Yolanda Garcia Meah and Darlene Nannini Bird; uncles Edwin Garcia and Eric Meah, Sr.; cousins Eric, Mark, Isabella and Christiana Meah, Billy Bird and Olivia, EJ and Jayden Garcia.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 4 to 7pm, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Road (Route 32) Newburgh. Funeral service will commence at 7pm, March 26th, at the funeral home. The Pastor Frank Minutolo will officiate. A private cremation will follow at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Contributions in Nico's name are asked for his son Elijah's educational fund.
