And the New York cold weather streak has snapped. Well, kind of.

We all are very aware that New York and the Hudson Valley have been dealing with some ridiculously cold weather. On Sunday, Jan. 7, the Hudson Valley was waking up to -6-degree weather in some parts.

According to the National Weather Service, New York has been on somewhat of a cold streak. On Tuesday, Jan. 9, they tweeted out that the "consecutive day streak of temperatures below 32°F comes to an end today. Central Park saw 14 consecutive days below 32°F, which ranked 3rd most, JFK and LGA both saw 13 consecutive days, ranking 2nd and 3rd most respectively."

New York's cold snap of weather started on Dec. 26.

The longest streak of weather below 32 degrees is 16 days, which was held from Jan. 19, 1961 until Feb. 3 of that same year. The second longest streak was in 15 days in 1881.

The Hudson Valley will be seeing temps in the 50s towards the end of the week.
