Hold the phone. New York has a train that is all about beer and wine? Why haven't we heard about this? If this train hasn't been on your radar, don't even worry about it. Here is the info from the Adirondack Scenic Railroad's website:

Travel from Utica’s Union Station north to Remsen Station, enjoying a selection of beers or wines along the way. We will provide music and light snacks, with award winning cheeses provided by Cabot Cheese. Beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Ride in our first class car and enjoy gourmet hors d’oeuvres with table service along with choices of beer and wine available for purchase. All first class passengers will have table seating. While you’re on the train, visit our café car and try the light and hearty fare as you ride the rails on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad!

So you will have to head up to Utica to get on the train, but if getting out and seeing what New York has to offer, this might be something for you to check out.
