A new music video was just released that's all about a diner in Poughkeepsie.

The song by Quinn Cicala is called "Diner in Poughkeepsie" and it's video, although not filmed in the Hudson Valley, depicts the singer and his friends hanging out at what's supposed to be Poughkeepsie diner.

The lyrics of the song talk about the singer's desire to be happy, and equates his happiness with a moment where he is gathered in a Poughkeepsie diner with all of his friends:

I wanna be happy.
And I wanna be the smartest person in the room.
And I want everyone to notice that I am present.
I wanna be laughing
at a joke that Jimmy said
in a diner in Poughkeepsie
and I am surrounded by all my friends...

The song is pretty good and we love the Poughkeepsie reference, but it seems apparent that the North Carolina based artist isn't actually from around here. The dead giveaway is how he pronounces the name of the Queen City. Someone please tell Quinn that it's Peh-kip-see, not PO-kip-see.

But we'll let the minor pronunciation error slide, especially since it's probably hard to sing anything with all that blood coming out of your mouth.

The independent artist isn't signed to a major label, but his music is available online. "Diner in Poughkeepsie" appears on Cicala's latest album titled Dream I Had which can be downloaded for just $3.
