A new Hudson Valley cidery has opened in the area with big plans to leave their mark on the area.

According to NewburghResoration.com, Graft Cider owners Kyle Sherrer and Sae Kenney originally were looking to open up shop in New York City. But when prices were out of reach they expanded their search for a location to the Hudson Valley.

They were initially having a hard time finding an industrial space that would fit their needs. Their search began locally in Beacon before moving on to the City of Newburgh. They eventually found an ideal location at 218 Ann St.

Sherrer and Kenney plan to grow the business slowly. As of now, they distribute to businesses in New York, Maryland and Washingtown D.C. They plan to open a three season cider garden this spring as well as an indoor tasting room, but if you'd like to try their cider now, you can get it on draft at Ms Fairfax and Newburgh Brewing Company.

The cider scene in the Hudson Valley is taking on a life of its own. Don't miss the area's premiere cider event, Hudson Valley Cider Festival at Barton Orchards in the summer of 2017.
