It hasn't been a great start to the week for those commuting to work on Monday morning.

Drizzle and freezing rain have caused a few accidents, slowing down traffic throughout the Hudson Valley. Concern over road conditions has also created more problems as crews rush to add salt to slick roadways.

Speed limits have been reduced to 35 miles per hour on most of the Hudson Valley's river crossings. Salting crews were backing things up even more during peak travel time on the Bear Mountain bridge.

An accident on I-84's westbound side was slowing down traffic between exits 21 to 20. That early incident was cleared, but residual delays due to volume continue throughout the morning.

Another car went off the roadway on the Taconic north of Bryant Pond Road. That, and a disabled vehicle blocking the right lane on the southbound side near Peekskill Hollow Road added to the already slow conditions on the Taconic.
