Massive Traffic Delays on I-84, NYS Thruway Friday Afternoon

The Friday evening commute is off to a awful start, with delays on Interstate 84 and the New York State Thruway.

According to WPDH Traffic Reporter, Andrienne Watson, the delays start in Ulster County on the northbound side of the New York State Thruway with a 5 mile delay. there is no cause for that delay as of yet. Try to find alternate routes, like Route 32 or Route 9w.

The westbound side of I-84 is backed up 8 miles already this afternoon leading to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. The original cause of the delay was construction, and debris on the bridge.
