Mary “Mai” Mezzetti , an Area Resident, Dies at 73

Mary “Mai” Mezzetti was born on April 3rd, 1944 in Kilkee, County Clare, Ireland.  She emigrated to her adopted country in 1969 with her husband and two children. Later she moved to Warwick where she raised her family, and countless others, until her death on July 19th, 2017.
Beloved wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend, she entered into eternal peace to join loved ones and our Lord Jesus Christ who saved a place for her.  It is there that she is now free to once again dance her jigs, reels and hornpipes;  play her golf; and enjoy her Budweiser among loved ones until we meet again.
Left to carry on her legacy and passion for family and life are her devoted husband of 50 years, M. Vincent Mezzetti; daughter Mary and husband Patrick Fox; three sons; James and wife Lori; Chipper and wife Inga; Michael; along with Carol Mayewski and Liz Szotyori.  Her treasured grandchildren, Zack, Erin, Chelsea, Kaylei, Devon, Mikey, Cormac, Mia and Lochlann.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23^rd, from 3-8 pm at Lazear - Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY 10990.  A Mass in her honor will be held on Monday, July 24th at 10:30 at St. Stephen’s Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY.
          In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Purple Champions Club or the Brian Ahearn Foundation.
