STORMVILLE – Margaret J. Kiss, 78, an area resident since 1987 and formerly of the Bronx, died on February 25, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in New York City on May 7,1939 she was the daughter of Howard and Elvira (Kistler) Marshall.

Before moving to Stormville, Margaret and Laszlo were the superintendents of the apartment building they lived in and the proud owners of a laundromat business in the Bronx.

After moving to Stormville in 1987, Margaret was a salesperson at JC Penny in Poughkeepsie, NY where she retired from in 1997. She was a member of the Beekman Senior and East Fishkill Senior Centers. She was an avid bingo player. Her most enjoyment came from her cooking, baking and gardening. A huge Elvis fan, she loved going on spontaneous car rides with her husband. She loved her family and her best friend, Evelyn Thomas.

On November 12, 1966 in Queens, NY, she married the love of her life, Laszlo Kiss. They were married for 44 years before his passing on November 21, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Irma Ludwig and her son-in-law, Matthew Ludwig; her grandchildren, Kayla Ludwig and Matthew Ludwig Jr.; and her cousin Meta McCarthy. Margaret was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a funeral service at 7:30pm.
