Police are hoping you can help as they investigate a hit-and-run in the Hudson Valley.

New York State Police are investigating a hit and run involving a person and an unknown vehicle. The crash happened on Tuesday, January 8, between the time of 6:35 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Monahan Road in the town of Greenville. Police didn't release details about the crash until Thursday afternoon.

On January 8, Robert Ruscher, 62, of Greenville was on a morning run. According to police, he left his home on Rutger Creek Road and turned right onto Kurpick, then right onto Center Road, then left onto Logtown Road and a left on County Route 1 and then onto Monahan Road.

He turned around on Monahan to return home and was hit by a car, according to police. He told authorities his last memory was seeing a car on Monahan Road.

Ruscher suffered a broken right ankle, a head injury and several abrasions, police say.
