A man from the Albany area is accused of attempting to sell MDMA/Molly in the local area.

On Saturday around 2:30 a.m., New York State Police from Highland pulled over a 2005 red Chevy sedan for allegedly speeding on Route 44/55 in the Town of Lloyd.

A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed that 29-year-old Kashim D. Gaskin of Schenectady was found to be in possession of 5.5 grams of the hallucinogenic substance MDMA/Molly with the intent to sell, police say.

Gaskin was charged with two-counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. He was arraigned in Town of Lloyd Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail on $25,000 cash and $50,000 bond.
