A Mahopac woman was charged with bail jumping for not showing up to court on drug charges.

In August 2016, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit arrested 53-year-old Kerry A. Massi of Mahopac over allegations she was in possession and sold prescription medication oxycodone.

Following her arrest, Massi was committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. She was later released after posting bail.

On Nov. 14, Massi failed to appear in the Town of Carmel Justice Court as required by the conditions of her bail agreement, police say.

A warrant of arrest was issued for first-degree bail jumping, a felony.

Last Tuesday, Massi was found in Mahopac and taken into custody. She was sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.

If found guilty of bail jumping, Massi could face up to seven years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $5,000.
