Following a traffic stop for a loud exhaust police charged a Dutchess County man with a felony DWI.

Saturday, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Ference P. Szova, 25, of Wappinger for driving while intoxicated, a class E felony.

Police say they stopped Szova on Jackson Street for operating a vehicle with a loud exhaust. An investigation later revealed that he was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Szova was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed that he was convicted of a DWI related offense in 2014.

Szova was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Village of Fishkill Justice Court on July 18.
