A theater located at a college right here in the Hudson Valley has been ranked as one of the most spectacular theaters in the country. 

The Richard B. Fisher Center for Performing Arts at Bard College has been ranked as one of the most spectacular theaters in the U.S. according to curbed.com.

The list consists of 21 theaters throughout the country, and focuses on the most architecturally significant theaters. Branding them as the most beautiful theaters in America.

The Fisher Center comes in at number 13 on the list. The theater was designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 2003, costing $62 million.

The building is 107,000 square feet and is made of fir veneer, concrete, stain-less steel shingles that cover the roof, and over 1,000 tons of conventional and curved steel. The front facade is the most striking feature of the building.

Two other New York theaters made the list as well: Radio City Music Hall, and The Egg in Albany.

If you never have driven past the Fisher Center at Bard, take a road trip up to Annandale-On-Hudson.
