Two quick acting Hudson Valley policeman helped save a life.

Wallkill Police Sergeant Robert Kammarada and Police Officer Darrell Alargin responded to a report of possible overdose on Gibbs Court. Upon arrival, the officers noticed an unnamed 26-year-old Huguenot, New York resident unconscious inside a parked vehicle.

Alagrin, with the assistance of Kammarada, began delivering emergency first aid, including the use of department issued nasal Narcan. Soon after Mobil Life Support Services personnel arrived on the scene and continued to provide emergency care for the victim.

Within a short amount of time the 26-year-old victim regained consciousness and was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center. The victim was treated at the medical center and later released.
