Local Chef Marcus Talks About Pot and Cancer

One of the Hudson Valley’s most outspoken Chefs weighs in on the opinion that smoking pot is a cure for cancer.

Chef Marcus Guiliano owns and operates the great Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville. He is an award winning chef and a food activist. I find the chef to be very interesting and articulate. You may not agree with him, but the man is good on camera.

I was searching for Marijuana in the Hudson Valley topics to write about and came across this video from Chef Marcus. The chef focuses a lot on our health and what we put into our bodies. He is almost militant about it and that is just another good reason to dine at Aroma Thyme. You get quality, healthy food that tastes amazing. Check out the chef talking about the theory that smoking marijuana can cure cancer.

So 4/20 has passed and maybe you puffed. Maybe you didn’t. I am not here to judge, but I do think Chef Marcus is right. Smoking Pot will not cure you of cancer. There are medical benefits from the plant and the oil from pot may actually help in the cure. It has yet to be proven beyond a doubt.

If you have never been to the chef’s restaurant, Aroma Thyme Bistro is at 165 Canal Street in Ellenville. It is the Hudson Valley’s first Certified Green Restaurant and has won numerous awards, including Best in the Hudson Valley. This is a destination dining experience, so take a ride to Ellenville and enjoy a wonderful meal. If you smoke something before you dine, well that’s your business.
