Angry Orchard Innovation Cider House is located here in the Hudson Valley and it is lucky for us because we get to benefit. Angry Orchard and their team of mad scientists, talented cider makers, continue to just "bring it" with new ciders that we, living in the Hudson Valley, get to try before anyone else. Can you say that we are spoiled? Let's deny that and keep drinking and trying great cider.

The newest 'innovation' from the cider house is another collaboration between the Walden facility and  U.K. Cider Maker Tom Oliver of Oliver's Cider and Perry. The project is called 'Understood in Motion 03.'

The cider actually began its life at the cidery in England, before being finished in Walden. It is made with different wildly fermented apple juices, which came from the following types of apples, the Dabinett apple, the Northern Spy and the Foxwhelp apple. The juices were fermented in used Calvados (French Apple Brandy) barrels and aged on the lees (the chunks of yeast and solids which imparts more body and flavor to the finished product).

The finished product is in limited supply and available at the cider house in Walden. The 750ml bottles go for $25 and are limited. Enjoy these while we look forward to the next limited edition project coming out of Walden soon.
