Saturday night, September 8, the Highland Business Association will hold their second annual, “A night in Little Italy.”  It’s a festival, held in the downtown portion of the Hamlet of Highland in the Town of Lloyd.  The event will take place from 2pm to 8pm.  The portion of Route 44/55 that runs through the hamlet will be closed to allow the festival to take place.

Most of the businesses in the downtown will participate in the event.  It’s an Italian themed evening.  Highland is made up mostly of Italian American families.

What can you expect to see at the event?  Grape stomping, live music, cannoli eating contest, bocce ball and tons of Italian Food. Places like Elia’s Hudson Valley Sausage Company, Bennie’s Pizza, Vigneto’s and Underground Coffee and Ales.

The Highland Business Association shared some pics from last year’s event with us.  You can see how the street will look.  You also get to see all those cannoli for the contest and a look at the grape stomping.
