Lillian Roland, Former North Carolina Resident, Dies at 81

Lillian Roland, 81, passed away Friday August 11, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh. She was born June 21, 1936 in Williamsboro, NC to Howard and Lucy Russell. From North Carolina she moved to New York where she met her pre-deceased husband James Roland; together they had seven children.

She is survived by her five sons: Marvin, Dennis, Kevin, James, and Robert Roland; her two daughters: Linda and Karen Roland, twelve grandchildren, two siblings: Julian Russell and Alice Ware, one niece: Pamela Louis, and two nephews: Garlend Ware and Byron Russell.

Visitation and Service will be held from 10am – 1 pm on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ, Newburgh. Lillian will be put to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, following the services.
