A large reward is now being offered as police search for a man who's accused of fatally shooting a Hudson Valley man outside a local club.

New York State Crime Stoppers, acting as a resource for the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that will lead to the location, arrest and conviction of Robert Whitaker.

Robert Whitaker, 38, was indicted by a Dutchess County grand jury on a murder charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest, police say. He's still on the loose.

On January 27, Noel McClinton was shot several times in front of the Exempt Fireman's Association club on Mansion Street in Poughkeepsie. McClinton, 35, from Poughkeepsie, was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time after he was shot.

Anyone with information regarding Robert Whitaker’s location is asked to call the New York State Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-866-313-TIPS (8477) immediately. Callers can remain anonymous. There is no caller ID on the New York State Crime Stoppers hotline phones, officials say.
