Karen was born on January 29, 1947 in Hamilton Township, New Jersey the daughter of Catherine Robitaille Roth and Robert Peter Roth. She grew up in Levittown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history in 1968. She settled in Newburgh, New York in 1974 where she raised her two sons Jeff and Jason. She attended the State University of New York at Albany where she earned a Master’s Degree in Library Science. Karen worked as a librarian at the CJ Hooker Middle School in Goshen, New York and the Newburgh Free Library.

Karen was a volunteer for several local organizations including Reading is Fundamental and was a longtime member and past president of the Newburgh Day Nursery. She was one of the original organizers of the Parkinson’s Support Group of Orange County in the Hudson Valley and helped bring the Dance for PD program to the local area.

Karen loved her family above all else and took special delight in spending time with her sons, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren, Alexander, Sydney and Andrew.

Karen is survived by her son Jeffrey Glenn of Danbury, Connecticut and her son Jason Glenn and his wife Sally of Annandale, Virginia. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Alexander Glenn, Sydney Glenn and Andrew Glenn.

Cremation and a memorial event will be arranged at the convenience of the family.
