Joseph E. Gonzalez, A Montgomery Resident, Dies at 74

Joseph E. Gonzalez of Montgomery, a retired employee for the Water Treatment Plant at U.S.M.A. at West Point, NY entered into rest Monday, February 20, 2017. He was 74.

Son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Griffin) Gonzalez, Joe was born February 28, 1942 in Newburgh.
After retiring from West Point he worked for Loomis Fargo & Co. and the Super 8 Motel.

Survivors include his wife, Sophia (Krol) Gonzalez at home, step-daughter, Sandy Cuomo of Montgomery, brother, Roy Gonzalez and his wife, Judith of the Town of Newburgh, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two nephews.

Visitation will take place Thursday, February 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m. at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd., (Rte 32) Newburgh, NY. Funeral service will commence at 7 p.m. following visitation. Rev. Mary Krol will officiate.

Cremation will follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
