Jennie Crisci Fayo, a long-time resident of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest at home, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She was 92.
Born in Newburgh, on April 17, 1925, Jennie was the daughter of the late Angelo and Nancy (Valdina) Crisci. A graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Jennie worked as a secretary on Iona Island. She married James Fayo, who predeceased her in 1978. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a Past President of the Good-Will Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. Jennie was a very happy person who always had a smile on her face and a hearty laugh. She loved her family and spending time playing cards with her siblings, reading, playing scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A very special thank you to our cousin Susan Pacella-Brummell for helping care for our mother.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, James Fayo of Newburgh, and her daughter Linda Dewaine (William) of Florida; her brothers, George Crisci (Ramona), Joseph Crisci (Johanna) and Angelo Crisci (Carol); her sister Nancy Pacella (Robert); grandchildren Lisa Dewaine, and Jennifer Reaves, great-grandchildren, Skylyn Dewaine, Tasha and Terrance Reaves; great-great grandchild Isabella Dewaine; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Jennie was predeceased by her brothers, Alfonso A. Crisci and Anthony J. Crisci; and her sister Martha J. Rockwell.
