It's that wonderful time of year again that all of us in New Paltz look forward to The Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire. This year, the 5th Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire will be on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 5pm in Hasbrouck Park in the Village of New Paltz.

Once again, the New Paltz Fire Department is inviting you to join the fun as they help depose of our used Christmas trees.

Feel free to make your used tree part of the fun. If you live in the Village of New Paltz just put your tree curbside before Saturday.

If you live outside the village you can drop off your tree in advance at the Village DPW next to the Village Hall or just bring it with you on the 7th.

There is some vendor space available if you think you have a product that would fit in at the bonfire. You can call 845-255-0130 for information on the limited spaces.

During the festivities the Volunteer Fire Department will be accepting donations to help them keep up the great work they do all year long plus you can see some of their skills in action as they man the bonfire.
