Following a six-month investigation, an Ulster County teen is accused of assaulting and stealing from a woman.

On the evening of June 12, 2016, the Ulster Police Department responded to a 911 call for a fight in progress at a home on North Drive in the Town of Ulster.

Arriving officers were told that an unknown female and a known male forcibly entered a female’s home and engaged in a physical altercation with the woman.

The woman was injured and treated on scene by Mobile Life Support Services.

As a result of a six-month investigation, 18-year-old Kiona J. Martinez of Ellenville was identified as the unknown female. Authorities didn’t reveal how they identified Martinez as the suspect.

Martinez was found at her Ellenville home, transported to the Ulster Police Department for interview and later charged with burglary, a felony, and a misdemeanor for assault.

The man in the incident, Jordan King, was arrested on the day of the incident. His case is still pending in court.

Martinez was processed and arraigned at Town of Ulster Court and released to reappear at a later date.
